Mezam 1 A section of the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement CPDM, in Bamenda I, has officially joined the nationwide presidential campaign activities.

Supporters of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement in Mezam 1 A (Bamenda 1) gathered at the Bamenda I Council Hall on September 28th to rally behind their national chairman, President Paul Biya, ahead of the October 12 election.

During the event, militants pledged their loyalty to the Head of State and appointed delegates across the 10 polling stations in Bamenda I to coordinate campaign efforts.

Representing the Section President for Mezam 1 A, Bamenda City Council Mayor Achobong Tambeng Paul announced that the municipality has been tasked with delivering over 15,000 votes for President Paul Biya.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bamenda I Council, Mbigha Felix, reaffirmed the municipality’s choice of President Paul Biya, describing him as a leader of “vision and wisdom.” He pointed to government-funded projects in the area such as the gas plant and the Bamenda 1 proximity stadium as proof of the Head of State’s commitment to the people. Mayor Mbigha Felix also called on militants to “stand and face their fears” by giving President Biya a landmark victory.

Also speaking at the launch, Sen. Prof. Ndosiri Ndoye Bridget, representative of the WCPDM for Mezam 1 A, urged women to cast their votes for President Biya in recognition of his support for women. She cited achievements including the creation of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, the women’s empowerment center in Bamendakwe, the DDR center, the gas plant, and the expansion of universities from one to eleven.

The President of the CPDM Youths in Mezam 1 A, Mekom Samuel, praised President Biya, describing him as “second in command to Jesus, the hope for peace and unity in Bamenda and Cameroon.” He further assured militants that, “if you love your lives vote for President Paul Biya, because that is the only choice we have.

Cameroon as of now needs a leader who is level-headed, whose temperament has been tested and trusted in this nation.

"We need people who will go in for dialogue and President Paul Biya is the best candidate”.

Mrs. Medjang Née Tabod, Resource Person for Mezam 1 A, issued a direct appeal to CPDM supporters in Mezam 1A, calling for unified support for President Paul Biya in the upcoming 2025 presidential elections. Addressing a gathering of party faithful, Mrs. Medjang emphasized the critical need for grassroots solidarity.

As campaigns intensify across the nation, CPDM militants in the Bamenda 1 municipality like elsewhere are determined to contribute their share towards ensuring victory for President Paul Biya on October 12 Presidential Election.
